Why 2-nonenal is discussed
2-Nonenal has been investigated as one contributor to age-associated changes in human body odor. Human odor is a complex, variable mixture and studies have not detected 2-nonenal consistently. It is therefore a defined analytical target—not a universal marker of age, health or any person.
